About
A short note on who is behind this publication, what we are trying to do here, and how to get in touch if any of it is useful to you.
Lena Mars writes songs in vans and finishes them on stages. Three records, two hundred-odd shows, one standing rule about encores. This site is the tour diary, the merch table, and the mailing list — the whole operation, minus the van smell.
The live show comes first. Everything here exists to get you to a room where it is happening: the dates are on the shows page, presales go to the list a week early, and the diary is where the stories land once the bruises fade.
The rule about encores
One song. Always one, never two, even when the room deserves five. A show should end one song before anyone is ready — that is what gets you back next year. It started as a bit in a basement in Omaha and calcified into policy somewhere around show forty.
Press & booking
For venues, festivals, and press: [email protected]. Photos and a one-page rider are in the press kit. If you run an all-ages room with a working PA, you are already ahead of Tulsa.
