About

A practice built around pace, not pressure.

A short note on who is behind this publication, what we are trying to do here, and how to get in touch if any of it is useful to you.

Stillpoint began in 2012 as a single consulting room and a conviction: that good care is mostly a matter of pacing. People change at the speed of safety — not at the speed of a treatment plan.

The practice now spans therapy, nutrition counselling, and movement work, delivered in-person in Oakland and by video across California and New York. The methods are boringly evidence-based — CBT, ACT, behavioural nutrition — and the tone is deliberately unhurried.

What working together looks like

Every engagement starts with a free fifteen-minute call. If we're a fit, we set a rhythm — weekly, biweekly, or as-needed — and revisit it openly every few months. You will never be upsold a package, and ending is always a normal conversation, not an event.

If you're reading this at a hard moment: you don't need to have the words ready. Arriving is enough.
