Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
This policy sets out what you may not publish or do on VeloCMS. It applies to site owners, their team members, and anyone who posts on a VeloCMS site, for example through comments or a membership area. It is part of our Terms of Service and is incorporated into them by reference.
Who is responsible
Each site on VeloCMS is published by its owner, not by VeloCMS. Site owners are responsible for what they publish and sell. We host the sites and act on reports, as described below.
Prohibited content
Do not publish, upload, link to or sell:
- Child sexual abuse material, or any sexual content involving minors.
- Content that threatens a person, incites violence, or supports terrorism or violent extremism.
- Harassment, doxxing, or hate speech that attacks people because of a protected characteristic such as race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability or nationality.
- Intimate images of a person shared without their consent.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights (see the Copyright Policy).
- Fraud, scams, phishing, impersonation of a person or organisation, and counterfeit goods.
- Malware, exploit kits built to cause harm, or files that secretly collect data.
- Goods or services that are illegal to offer, such as illegal drugs, stolen goods or trafficked weapons.
- Other people's personal data, such as home addresses, identity documents or private images, published without a lawful reason.
- Anything else that is unlawful where it is published, where the site owner lives, or where the affected person lives.
Prohibited conduct
Do not use VeloCMS to:
- Send spam, phishing, or unsolicited bulk email, including through newsletter features.
- Scan, probe or attack other sites or our own systems, or try to get around rate limits, access controls or plan limits.
- Use our servers for cryptocurrency mining or other work unrelated to running your site.
- Create accounts automatically, or open new accounts to evade a suspension.
- Resell VeloCMS without a separate written agreement.
- Mislead visitors about who runs a site or what it offers.
Digital products
If you sell digital products or downloads on your VeloCMS site, the rules above apply to every file and listing, and you must also follow these rules. Do not sell:
- Files you do not own and do not have the right to sell, including pirated, cracked or leaked software, e-books, courses, music, photos, fonts and templates.
- Other people's work that you resell or redistribute without a licence that allows it, including "resell rights" or PLR bundles whose licence you cannot show.
- Fan-made products that use another person's characters, brands or logos without permission.
- Stolen or leaked data, credentials, accounts, or licence keys obtained without permission.
- Files that contain malware, or products designed to help others commit fraud, hack accounts or harm people.
- Products whose description does not match what the buyer receives.
Keep proof of your rights to every file you sell, such as a licence or your own source files. If we receive a valid report, we may ask you for it. We may disable a product or its downloads while we review a report.
How to report content
Anyone can report content, including people who do not have a VeloCMS account. Email [email protected] and include:
- An explanation of why you believe the content is illegal or breaks this policy.
- The exact web address (URL) of the content, so we can find it.
- Your name and email address, so we can reply to you.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the information in your report is accurate and complete.
If your report is about child sexual abuse material or other offences listed in Articles 3 to 7 of Directive 2011/93/EU, you do not need to give your name.
Reports of copyright infringement follow a separate process; see the Copyright Policy.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We are not an emergency service.
What happens after a report
- We confirm by email that we received your report.
- We review it in a timely, careful and objective way. We may contact you or the site owner for more information.
- We decide what to do. Depending on what we find, we may take no action, ask the site owner to change or remove the content, remove or disable the specific content or product, restrict features, or suspend or close the account. Suspension and closure follow the Terms of Service, including immediate action where the law requires it or others need protecting.
- We tell you our decision. Where it affects a site owner, we tell the site owner what we did and why.
- We may ignore reports that are clearly unfounded or sent in bad faith, and we may stop accepting reports from a sender who repeatedly sends them.
Appeals
If you are a site owner affected by a decision, or a reporter who disagrees with our decision, reply to the decision email or write to [email protected] with the subject "Appeal" and explain why. We will review the appeal and reply with the outcome. This does not limit your right to go to court or to a competent authority.
