The page editor now has an English | العربية switch. Open an Arabic variant and the canvas switches to right-to-left, showing your site's Arabic header, navigation and footer, so you see the page the way Arabic readers will see it.
Write a translated series title and description, a translated author name and bio, and a tag label for each language. Related-post cards on a translated page link to the translated post under your theme's own route, and show its translated title and tag label. Editors open on the language your site publishes in.
Sites on bespoke themes now show their real header and footer menus on the Navigation page, with each label in English and Arabic, ready for you to edit. A site without a custom menu lists the links your visitors actually see, each marked Automatic. Click Customize menu to turn them into a menu you edit yourself. Before, the page said there were no navigation menus, even when the site already had a full one.
A translated post now publishes its complete structured data (BlogPosting, BreadcrumbList, WebPage, Person and Speakable) in the language of that translation, instead of an empty structured-data block. Search engines and AI answer engines read each language version as its own page.
Post pages no longer send a validation library of roughly 95 KB (gzipped) to every reader's browser, so each reader downloads less code.
Attach PDFs, audio and video to a members or paid post from the editor's Members-only files panel. The files are stored privately and open only for readers who can read that post, through short-lived links. Images stay public. Documents can be up to 10 MB, audio and video up to 500 MB.
Every site now shows a small Report link, and product reviews and questions each carry one too. It opens a report form that goes to the VeloCMS safety team, who review reports under the UK Online Safety Act.
Published, scheduled and in-review posts now have an Update button that saves your edits and keeps the post where it is. A scheduled post keeps its date and time, and Save Draft stays available when you do want to pull it back.
Bring your Blogger posts over with their original dates. Images are copied to your own media storage, and the first image in each post becomes its featured image.
One wizard brings across your posts, products, collections, policy pages and 301 redirects, so a Shopify store can move to VeloCMS without rebuilding it by hand.
After an import during setup you see the counts of posts, products and pages that arrived, any warnings, and a link to review your drafts.

Importing from a WordPress site by its URL now finds your published posts and pages on public sites. Before, many public sites were analysed as empty. If the import cannot reach the site at all, it now ends as failed instead of reporting a ready import with nothing in it.
The monthly or annual choice you make on the pricing page now carries through signup into your 14-day trial checkout, and annual saves 20%.
A new blog now shows one clear "No posts yet" message in your theme's own style instead of fake article cards, and the lone page "1" is gone. Posts without a cover image no longer leave an empty grey box on listings, post pages or related-posts rows. Covers that do exist are real images with the post title as alt text, which helps Google Images find them.
The Arabic home page now points search engines to /ar as its address, with matching English, Arabic and default language links, and post language links respect a custom blog path such as /news. Paginated blog and category pages can be indexed, and a page number past the last one returns a proper 404.
Visitors who turn motion off now get a still page on all twelve animated themes. Ten of them animate with CSS only and used to ignore the switch, and they now show it too.
With "show once" on, the newsletter popup now stays closed on later visits from the same browser, and readers who subscribed never see it again. It always behaved this way in the settings hint, and now it does in practice.
Auto Tags now runs once when a post goes live, whether you publish from the editor, in bulk, through the API or on a schedule, and it matches whole words only. The editor shows the added tags right after you publish, so the next Save does not remove them.
Shipping labels created through ShipStation now download as a real PDF from your admin, so you can print them straight away.
Arabic pages no longer wait for a separate right-to-left stylesheet, since the few rules they need are now part of the page itself. Page-builder pages download the code only for the blocks they contain.
Shippo, ShipStation, TaxJar and Tapfiliate now have their own marketplace pages, along with the Memo Garamond theme and the Author Card and Newsletter Popup plugins. Each page describes what the item does, with an Arabic version written by hand.
Appointments now has a Team tab where you add staff, rooms or bays and assign them to services. Customers can pick a team member while booking, and two people can be booked at the same time when they are with different staff or in different rooms.
Each author can add a short bio and social profile links to their own profile, and the Author Card shows them under every post. Only web links starting with http or https are shown, and you can edit your own profile only.
See which tracked links and posts get clicks, and on which days, over the last 7, 30 or 90 days, and export the report as CSV.
If a WordPress URL import is interrupted, it picks up from the saved page instead of starting over, and the wizard offers a fallback. When the site answers with a server error or refuses access, the import says so honestly.
The Top posts card now shows real page views from the last 30 days, updated every 6 hours. They come from VeloCMS's own first-party beacon, with no cookies and no stored IPs, and bot traffic is filtered out. Every page a reader opens counts, including clicks between your posts.
The API settings page now shows how many API calls your plan allows per day, so you can see your limit before an integration reaches it.
Embedded video and audio now come across when you import from WordPress. The import guide lists exactly what moves (posts, pages, categories, tags, and media) and what does not (comments, user accounts, custom post types, and plugin data), so there are no surprises after you switch.
Sign in with two-factor authentication directly on your site's own domain, such as blog.example.com/login, not only on a velocms.org address. The security check on the sign-in page also appears again after you sign out.
A new theme for independent garages and MOT stations, now in the theme marketplace and the setup wizard. The home page lists your own services and fixed prices from your Appointments setup, each with a Book button that opens the booking form with that service already selected. Phone, address, accreditations and reviews appear only once you add them, and mobile visitors get a call-and-book bar that stays on screen.
The Arabic web fonts are about half their old size (Noto Sans Arabic from 166 KB to 78 KB, Noto Kufi Arabic from 124 KB to 63 KB) and the letters render identically. The Arabic homepage now downloads about 2.2 MB instead of 5.4 MB.
Add your own questions to any appointment service, such as the reason for a visit, and mark each one required or optional. Customers answer them when they book, and the answers appear on the booking in your dashboard. A service that already has bookings can be turned off instead of deleted, so it disappears from your booking page while its history stays.
