VeloCMS Site Audit Extension — Privacy Policy

What this extension does
When you click the VeloCMS Site Audit icon, the extension reads the current tab's page content (HTML structure, meta tags, headings, images, and browser performance timing) to produce a quick technical-SEO snapshot. This analysis runs entirely on your device. The extension makes no network requests of any kind during the quick audit.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not operate any server that receives data from this extension. We do not track which sites you audit, how often you use the extension, or any browsing history. The only local storage this extension uses is a short-lived, per-tab cache (chrome.storage.session) of your own quick-audit result, cleared automatically when your browser session ends — this data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
Deep Audit
If you click “Open full Deep Audit,” the extension opens a new browser tab at velocms.org/tools/site-audit. At that point you are on our website, subject to the VeloCMS privacy policy, and you choose whether to submit a URL for the full server-side audit — the extension itself never submits anything on your behalf.
Permissions

The extension requests no host permissions and has no background script, so there is no code path that could read pages you did not explicitly audit.storagecaches your own quick-audit result locally for a few minutes so reopening the popup on the same tab is instant.
