A WordPress Alternative With No Plugins to Maintain
On WordPress, everything worth having is a plugin — and every plugin is one more thing to update and pray over. The thing nobody warns you about WordPress isn't the setup — it's the upkeep. An SEO plugin, a forms plugin, a newsletter plugin, a shop plugin, each with its own updates, its own security notices, its own way of breaking. Here's an alternative where all of that is just... built in. Nothing to maintain.
Start with SEO. On WordPress that's a plugin you install and configure. Here it's a panel right inside the editor — a live score as I write — and when I publish, the structured data and sitemap ship on their own. No Yoast, no settings marathon. Optimized by default.
Need a contact form, or a way to capture leads? Built in. I open Forms, and there's one ready to put on a page — submissions collected for me, right in the dashboard. On WordPress that's yet another plugin, another thing to patch. Here it's just a feature that's already switched on.
Email's the same story. The newsletter is native — set a sender, readers subscribe from the site, and you send campaigns from the same dashboard. No Mailchimp plugin wired to an outside service you also pay for. One less account, one less integration to babysit.
And selling? Also built in — digital downloads, physical products, a cart, a real checkout. That's the job WooCommerce and its dozen add-ons do on WordPress, except here it's part of the platform, kept current for you. Nothing bolted on, nothing to reconcile.
So here's the honest contrast. On WordPress you'd run five or six plugins for all this — updating them, watching for the one that conflicts, hoping nothing breaks after a core update. Here it's one platform, updated for you. Fewer moving parts is the whole feature.
