What this integration does

This is a notification connector, not a blog crossposter. VeloCMS's in-app notification system already tells you about comments, orders, member signups, billing events, content changes, security events, and system alerts. Once you add a Slack incoming webhook URL and pick which of those seven categories you want forwarded, every matching notification is sent to your Slack channel as a formatted Block Kit message with a link back into VeloCMS — right after the in-app notification is written. If Slack isn't configured, or a category isn't selected, nothing is sent — no ghost activity, no noise. No bot token or OAuth is required, just an incoming webhook URL.

Fail-soft, never blocking

A Slack delivery failure is logged and never affects the underlying VeloCMS notification or the action that triggered it.

Where to find it in admin

    Admin → Plugins → Slack. Paste your Slack incoming webhook URL and check the notification categories you want forwarded.

    Save, then send a test message. From then on, every selected category posts to your Slack channel automatically as it happens in the dashboard.

Use cases

A store owner selling digital products forwards order notifications to a #sales channel so the team sees revenue in real time. A small editorial team routes new-comment notifications to #moderation so nothing sits unanswered. An agency running client blogs on VeloCMS forwards billing and security alerts to an internal ops channel, so a failed payment or a suspicious login gets noticed the moment it happens instead of during a weekly check-in.
