The Tapfiliate connector reports every completed order to Tapfiliate as a conversion, so your affiliate program pays out real commissions on real sales instead of relying on Tapfiliate's own tracking script alone.
Step 1 — Get your Tapfiliate API key
In Tapfiliate, go to Settings → API Keys and copy your API key.
Step 2 — Install and configure the plugin
Go to Admin → Plugins → Marketplace, find Tapfiliate, and click Install. Open Admin → Plugins → Tapfiliate and paste your API key. Order Created reporting is on by default — leave it on so every completed order reports a conversion.
Step 3 — Choose how conversions attribute to affiliates
Set the attribution mode to either Customer (Tapfiliate matches the conversion to a click by the customer's email) or Referral Code (VeloCMS passes along a referral code captured at checkout). Pick whichever matches how your Tapfiliate program is already set up to track clicks.
What gets sent
A completed order reports its total amount and the customer's email to Tapfiliate as a conversion, using the attribution mode you chose. Tapfiliate then matches it to the referring affiliate and calculates their commission.
If Tapfiliate is briefly unreachable or your API key is wrong, the conversion report fails quietly in the background — it never blocks or delays the order itself.
Disconnecting
Clear the API key in the same panel to stop reporting conversions. Commissions already reported to Tapfiliate are untouched; no further orders are reported after disconnecting.
