Forgot your password? Account recovery guide
How to reset your admin password, what to do if the reset email doesn't arrive, and how to recover access without email if needed.
If you've forgotten your VeloCMS admin password, you can reset it in under two minutes from the login page. No support ticket needed.
Reset your password
Go to velocms.org/login and click 'Forgot password?' below the sign-in form. Enter the email address you registered with and click 'Send reset link'. A password reset email arrives within two minutes. The link in the email is valid for one hour — click it, enter a new password, and you're back in.
Reset emails come from [email protected]. If the email hasn't arrived after two minutes, check your Spam or Promotions folder. Also check that you're using the exact email address you signed up with — a typo at signup is the most common reason.
The reset link expired
Reset links expire after one hour. If yours has expired, return to velocms.org/login, click 'Forgot password?' again, and request a new link. Each request sends a fresh link — the previous link is immediately invalidated, so only use the most recent email.
I can no longer access that email address
If you've lost access to your registered email, you'll need to verify identity before we can change it. Contact support via velocms.org/help and include: your blog URL, the email address you signed up with, and proof of domain ownership (a DNS TXT record or a link to a public post on your blog proving you control the content). Response time is one business day.
2FA locked out
If you have 2FA enabled and lost your authenticator app, use one of the backup codes you saved when you enabled 2FA. If you have no backup codes, contact support with the identity proof listed above — account recovery with 2FA requires stricter verification.
