Managing your reader account
How to update your email, manage your subscription, and delete your account as a VeloCMS blog reader.
As a reader on a VeloCMS-powered blog, you have a member account that stores your subscription status, email preferences, and payment history. You can manage all of this from your account page.
How to access your account
Visit the blog's member login page (usually at /member/login). Enter your email address and click 'Send login link'. A magic link is emailed to you — click it to log in. No password needed. Once logged in, click your name or avatar in the top navigation to open your account page.
Changing your email address
On your account page, find the 'Email' field and click 'Change email'. Enter your new email and confirm. A verification link is sent to the new address. Until you click the verification link, your old email remains active. If you did not receive the verification email, check your spam folder or request a new magic link.
Managing email preferences
Your account page has an 'Email preferences' section where you can toggle newsletter subscription on and off. Turning off newsletter subscription stops all campaign emails but does not cancel your paid membership — you still have access to premium content. You can resubscribe at any time.
Deleting your account
To delete your account, scroll to the bottom of your account page and click 'Delete account'. This is permanent: your member record, subscription history, and comment history are removed. If you have an active paid subscription, deleting your account also cancels it immediately — no partial refunds are issued. Download any data you want to keep before deleting.
Account deletion is irreversible. If you want to stop receiving emails only, turn off newsletter subscription instead of deleting your account.
