How Do I Use the Visual Page Builder to Create Landing Pages?

The visual page builder lets you drag, drop, and customize 50+ content blocks to build any landing page without touching code.

The visual page builder is where you go to create landing pages, sales pages, or any standalone page that isn't a standard blog post. Open it from Admin → Pages → New Page, pick a template or start blank, and you're in.

Everyone says 'no code' — let's actually watch it. I'm going to build a real landing page from scratch by dragging blocks around, editing right on the page, and publishing it live. No theme files, no CSS, no developer. Just a template, a few drags, and a URL at the end.

I'm making a landing page for a course, and I'm not opening a code editor to do it. New Page — and instead of a blank canvas, I start from a template, a ready-made landing layout with a hero, sections, and a call to action already blocked out. Instant head start.

Now it's just clicking and typing. I double-click the headline and rewrite it right on the page — what you see is exactly what publishes. Same for the subtext and the button label. No fields off to the side, no preview toggle; I'm editing the actual page.

Need another section? I grab one from the block palette on the left and drag it right into place — a feature row, an image, a pricing table — and drop it where I want it. It snaps in, and I can drag blocks up or down to reorder the whole page.

Swapping the visuals is just as direct — click the image, pick a new one, done. And the whole thing already matches my blog's fonts and colors, so it doesn't look like a bolted-on landing page. It looks like part of the site, because it is.

When it looks right, I hit Publish, and it's live at its own clean URL — a real page on my site, built by dragging blocks around for a few minutes. No developer, no theme file, no CSS. That's the whole thing, start to finish.

That's a real page, built by dragging blocks, with zero code. Try the page builder on the free trial at velocms dot org.

What kinds of blocks can I add?

You've got over 50 block types to work with — hero sections, feature grids, pricing tables, testimonial carousels, countdown timers, newsletter signup forms, image galleries, video embeds, rich text columns, and more. Every block ships with sensible defaults so you're never staring at a blank, unstyled thing. Click any block after dropping it and a settings panel slides in from the right where you can swap colors, adjust spacing, change fonts, or toggle visibility on mobile.

How does the template picker work?

When you click New Page you'll see a gallery of 21 starter templates — Home, three landing-page variants (SaaS, Agency, Paid Ad), About, Services, Team, Testimonials, FAQ, Careers, Case Study, Pricing, Contact, Blog Post, Portfolio Grid, Coming Soon, 404 Page, Thank You, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Blank. Each template is a pre-wired set of blocks that you customize — not a locked design. Swap out every piece of content, reorder sections, delete what you don't need. Templates are a starting point, not a cage.

Templates only set initial block layout. Your active theme controls all colors, typography, and border radii — so a template always looks consistent with the rest of your site.

How do I reorder and nest blocks?

Grab the six-dot handle on the left edge of any block and drag it up or down. You can also nest blocks inside section containers — drop a three-column grid block first, then drag text or image blocks inside each column. The builder snaps blocks into valid positions so you can't accidentally break the layout structure.

Can I reuse a block or section across pages?

There's no dedicated "Save as Template" button today, but reuse is still easy: select a block or section, copy it with Cmd/Ctrl+C, open a different page, and paste with Cmd/Ctrl+V. The pasted copy gets fresh block IDs so it never collides with the original. That covers the common case — you built a hero section or CTA strip you love and want it on a few more landing pages without rebuilding it from scratch.

How do I publish a page I've built?

Hit the blue Publish button in the top-right corner. The page goes live at yoursubdomain.velocms.org/p/your-page-slug. You can change the slug in Page Settings before publishing if you want a custom URL. After publishing, the builder switches to an Edit Mode indicator — every subsequent save regenerates the static page on Cloudflare's edge in under two seconds.
