What Are Page Builder Templates and How Do I Use Them?
Page builder templates are pre-arranged block collections that you customize — not locked designs. Pick one to skip the blank-canvas problem.
Page builder templates are ready-made block arrangements you pick when creating a new page. They solve the blank-canvas problem — instead of building from scratch you start with a sane structure and swap in your own content.
How many templates are there and what do they cover?
There are ten built-in templates right now: Landing Page, Product Launch, Coming Soon, Link-in-Bio, Event, Newsletter Signup, Portfolio, About, Contact, and Blank. Each maps to a real use case. The Landing Page template, for instance, opens with a hero section, a three-column feature grid, a social proof testimonial strip, and a call-to-action footer. The Link-in-Bio is minimal by design — a circular avatar, a short bio paragraph, and a stack of link buttons.
Can I change everything after picking a template?
Every single thing. Templates just wire up the initial block order — they don't lock anything. Delete blocks you don't want, reorder the rest, swap images, rewrite copy. The template is gone the moment you start editing; what's left is just your page. Think of it like a scaffold that gets kicked away once the building stands on its own.
How do I create a page completely from scratch?
Pick the Blank template at the end of the template picker row. It opens the builder with a single empty section container and nothing else. From there you can add any block from the sidebar panel on the left. Drag blocks from the panel onto the canvas, or click the plus icon that appears between sections as you hover. Starting blank is the right call when you already know exactly what you want to build.
What's the difference between templates and themes?
Good question because it trips people up. Themes control the visual style of your entire site — colors, fonts, spacing, dark mode. Templates control the block structure of a single page. A page built from the Product Launch template will look completely different on the Ink theme versus the Slate theme even though the blocks are identical. The theme applies on top of the template, not the other way around.
