How referral rewards work

When you share your site audit report, anyone who signs up to VeloCMS through that link can earn you rewards. This article explains what you get, the limits, and what happens if you delete your account.

How a referral is counted

• Verify your email on your audit report. The verified address is how a reward finds your account, and it is never shown to the person you referred.
• Share the report link from the Share panel. The link carries a personal code, so a signup through it is attributed to you.
• Sign-ups from your own email address, or an alias of it such as a plus tag, never count.

What you can earn

• Credits: 5 credits for each new account that signs up through your link, for up to 10 referrals per calendar quarter. Credits are banked on your referral card; spending them on deeper site audits is not available yet.
• White-label reports: your 5th sign-up unlocks it permanently. A printed or PDF copy of your reports then leaves out the VeloCMS promotion block and the attribution line. The on-screen report stays branded.
• A Pro month: when an account you referred makes its first payment of at least $5, one month of Pro is credited to your next invoice. You can earn one Pro month per calendar quarter.

If you do not have a paid account yet

A Pro month earned before you have a VeloCMS billing account is held for you for up to 180 days. It is applied the first time you check out, and we send you an email when it lands.

Where to see your rewards

Open Billing in your admin. The Referral rewards card shows your credits, your white-label progress, your Pro month for the quarter and a plain activity list. It never shows who signed up. Only the workspace owner can see it.

Limits and fine print

• The Pro month is a credit on your VeloCMS invoice, not a payout, and it does not extend a trial.
• If an account you referred is later refunded, we do not take the reward back.
• A discount can reduce the first payment below the $5 minimum, in which case that payment does not earn a Pro month.

If you delete your account

Deleting your account erases your reward records and any unused reward is forfeited. A credit already placed on your billing record stays on that retained accounting record, but it cannot be applied to anything because the account no longer has a subscription.
