Which payment providers can I use in my country?
VeloCMS connects to your own payment account. The right rail depends on your country and business status — here's the honest map.
VeloCMS uses a BYOK (Bring Your Own Keys) model for payments. We never hold your money and we take no platform cut — your readers pay you directly through an account you already own. The catch is that not every payment rail accepts sellers from every country. The right choice depends on where you can open an account, not just where you live.
Stripe — lowest fees, but country-limited
Stripe is the best option when it is available: you act as the merchant of record, keep the highest margin, and get the most mature subscription tooling. Stripe supports seller accounts in roughly 46 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Australia, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Brazil, Mexico, India, Nigeria, South Africa, and the UAE. If you live in one of these countries, Stripe is usually the right default.
If Stripe does not list your country, you may still be able to open an account using a registered business in a supported country. Residence matters less than having a legal entity and bank account where Stripe operates.
Lemon Squeezy — global merchant of record
Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record instead of you. It accepts buyers from 135+ currencies and pays creators by bank transfer in 79 countries or by PayPal in 200+ countries. This makes it the strongest fallback for creators in countries Stripe does not serve, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Morocco, Ukraine, Serbia, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and most of Africa and the Middle East.
PayPal — the widest receiver network
PayPal supports receiving payments in more than 200 countries. It is the fallback when neither Stripe nor Lemon Squeezy works for your specific situation, and it supports both one-time product sales and recurring subscriptions in VeloCMS.
iyzico and PayTR — Türkiye only, business required
iyzico and PayTR are local Turkish acquirers. They only onboard merchants with a Turkish tax registration — a şahıs şirketi or a limited company counts; a plain individual account does not. If you are in Türkiye without a business, these rails are not available to you. Lemon Squeezy and PayPal remain viable alternatives.
What if none of these work for me?
We are expanding regional rails based on where VeloCMS creators actually are. The current roadmap priority is Flutterwave or Paystack for Africa, Mercado Pago for Latin America, Xendit for Southeast Asia, and Razorpay for India. If your country is not covered today, tell us via the support form — demand is the main driver of which rail ships next.
Your residence does not limit you. What matters is the country where you can legally open a payment-provider account and receive payouts. A creator living in Pakistan with a UK-registered business and UK bank account can use Stripe without issue.
