What this integration does

The Gelato connector in VeloCMS listens for the afterOrderCreate event on paid orders. If the order includes physical items, the connector reads your Gelato API key and store ID, maps the order line items through a variant map you configure, and creates a real Gelato order with the customer's shipping address. The connector skips digital-only orders, incomplete addresses, and orders that are already marked as fulfilled, so a replayed webhook never creates a duplicate Gelato order. It is a one-way push: VeloCMS creates the order in Gelato, and Gelato manages production, routing, and delivery from its global network.

Automatic order routing

Paid physical orders become Gelato orders automatically, with the customer's address and mapped variants attached.

Global production

Gelato produces and ships from locations near the customer, cutting delivery distance and customs friction.

Fail-safe fulfillment

Incomplete addresses, missing variant maps, and already-fulfilled orders are skipped with a warning, never guessed.

Where to find it in admin

    Admin → Plugins → Gelato. Enter your Gelato API key and store ID. The key is encrypted at rest.

    Map product variants. Link each VeloCMS variant to its Gelato product variant ID. From then on, physical orders with mapped variants route to Gelato automatically.
