What this integration does
The Shippo connector in VeloCMS listens for the afterOrderCreate event on paid orders. If the order contains physical items, it builds a shipment from the customer's address and your configured ship-from address, then creates that shipment in Shippo. From there, the order screen in admin shows a “Buy label” button: clicking it fetches Shippo's available rates, picks the cheapest one automatically, and purchases the label — no separate Shippo dashboard visit required. The resulting label URL and tracking number are saved to the order right away, so you can download the label and hand it to your carrier. If Shippo declines the purchase (for example, an empty account balance), VeloCMS shows the real reason instead of pretending it worked.
