Add and price the services your garage offers
Set up MOT tests, servicing, and repairs as bookable services with a duration, price, and how many bays can run at once.
Every service your garage offers — an MOT test, a full service, a brake job — needs to exist as a bookable service before customers can book it online. Go to Admin → Appointments → Services to add one.
Adding a service
Click Add Service and fill in a name (for example "MOT Test" or "Full Service"), a duration in minutes, and a price. Duration controls how much of your diary a booking blocks out; price is what customers see on your public booking page and what they're charged if you take payment through VeloCMS.
- Name — shown to customers on the booking page, e.g. "MOT Test"
- Duration (minutes) — how long the slot is reserved for
- Price — leave at 0 to list the service as free / quote-on-arrival
- Bays — how many of this service can run in your workshop at the same time
Bays — booking more than one car at once
The Bays field controls how many customers can book the same time slot for that service. If your garage has two ramps that can both run an MOT at once, set MOT Test's bays to 2 — the booking page will then offer that slot to a second customer even after the first one has booked it, and only mark the slot fully booked once both bays are taken. Leave it at 1 for anything that only one mechanic or one bay can do at a time.
There's no edit button on a service yet — to change its price, duration, or bay count, delete it and add it again with the new numbers. Existing appointments already booked against the old service are not affected.
Where the price shows up
Your public booking page (yourgarage.velocms.org/book, or your connected domain's /book) lists every active service with its duration and price so customers know what they're booking and what it costs before they pick a time.
