What it does
This plugin passes your print-on-demand orders to Printify so you do not retype them. When a customer pays for an order that includes a physical item, the plugin creates a matching order in the Printify shop you picked, using the shipping name and address from checkout. It sends your VeloCMS order ID as Printify's external ID, so a repeated notification does not create a second order. The plugin only creates the order; whether Printify sends it to production at once or waits for your approval depends on the order approval setting of your Printify store. A small mapping tells it which VeloCMS product matches which Printify product and variant, and only mapped items are sent. The order page then shows that it was sent, with Printify's order ID.
Who it's for
Store owners who sell custom merch and already have a Printify shop with products in it. It suits you if you are fine writing a short JSON mapping with Printify product and variant IDs. If you were hoping to import your Printify catalog into VeloCMS as ready-made products, note that the Check catalog button only reads the catalog for now.
How it works
You paste a Printify personal access token and press Connect. The plugin loads your shops, and you pick the one to use. The token is stored encrypted.
In Variant mapping, you write each VeloCMS product ID (or variant ID) next to a Printify value in the form product_id:variant_id. Items you leave out are skipped, never guessed.
A customer pays for an order that has at least one physical item. Digital-only orders are skipped.
The plugin sends the mapped items and the shipping address to your Printify shop as a new order. Printify then approves it automatically or waits for you, depending on your store's approval setting. The order page shows Printify with its order ID.
Settings you configure
- Auto-fulfil orders on Printify
- On by default. When on, every paid order with at least one mapped physical item is sent to Printify as a new order.
- Personal Access Token
- Created in Printify under My Profile, Connections, Personal Access Tokens. Stored encrypted. The Connect button tests it and loads your shops.
- Shop
- The Printify shop that orders are sent to and that products are read from.
- Variant mapping
- Optional JSON object linking a VeloCMS product or variant ID to a Printify product_id:variant_id string. Items not listed are skipped.
- Check catalog
- A read-only preview. It reads your Printify catalog and shows how many products it found. It does not create or update products in VeloCMS, and importing products is not available yet.
What it can access
After a paid order, the plugin reads the order ID, the shipping name, address and phone, the customer's email and the items ordered. In the admin it can also read your Printify shops and product catalog. It does not read your posts or members. It talks to api.printify.com only. Your token is stored encrypted and never shown back in plain text.

Honest limits
Check catalog only fetches your Printify catalog and reports a count. It does not create or update products in VeloCMS, so there is no product import.
The variant mapping is JSON you write by hand, with Printify product and variant IDs. Items missing from it are skipped. If none of an order's items are mapped, nothing is sent.
An order with an incomplete shipping address is skipped and logged, not sent.
The plugin does not choose a shipping method or fetch shipment tracking, and it does not send production approval itself. Status changes made in Printify are not pulled back into VeloCMS.
If Printify rejects a request or cannot be reached, the sale still goes through. The failure is logged and recorded in the connector activity, and it is not retried automatically.
Only orders placed after you connect are sent. Earlier orders are not sent retroactively.
Frequently asked questions
Does Check catalog create my products in VeloCMS?
Not yet. It reads your Printify catalog and reports how many products it found, but nothing is written to your store. Create the products in VeloCMS yourself and map them.
What does the mapping value look like?
A Printify product ID and variant ID joined by a colon, for example a product ID, a colon, then a number. The IDs come from your Printify shop's product list or product URL.
Will a repeated notification create a duplicate order?
No. The plugin records the Printify order against your order, and your VeloCMS order ID is sent as Printify's external ID, so a repeat is treated as already done.
Does an order go to production straight away?
That depends on your Printify store. The plugin creates the order, and Printify either approves it automatically or waits for you, according to the order approval setting in your Printify store.
Where do I see that an order was sent?
On the order detail page, under Fulfillment providers. It lists Printify, the Printify order ID and when it was sent.
