Affiliate Tracker
See which affiliate links and posts your readers click, over 7, 30 or 90 days
What it does
Affiliate Tracker watches the outbound links inside your blog posts. You list the domains you want tracked, such as amazon.com, and any link in a post that points to one of them, or to one of their subdomains, is sent through a redirect on your own site before the reader continues to the original address. Each pass is logged with the link, the post it came from and the page the reader arrived from. The plugin page then shows a Click report: total clicks, the change against the previous period, your most clicked links and posts, clicks by domain and a chart of clicks per day. Export CSV downloads the raw clicks. It counts clicks only. Sales and commissions stay in your affiliate network's own dashboard.
Who it's for
Bloggers who earn from affiliate links in product reviews, gear roundups, book lists and recommendation posts, and want to know which links and which posts readers actually follow before they spend time reworking the rest. It suits people who work with Amazon, Awin or similar programs and currently guess from the network's totals. It is not a sales or earnings dashboard, so if you need revenue per link you will still open your affiliate network.
How it works
Open the plugin's page in your admin and type the domains you want tracked into Tracked Domains, one per line or separated by commas. Press Save Settings.
Write posts as usual and paste your affiliate links into the body. Whenever a post page is built, each link to a tracked domain is rewritten to a redirect address on your site, and the original address is kept on the link.
When a reader clicks, the redirect checks that the target is on your tracked list, records the click and sends the reader on to the original address with a standard 302 redirect. A target that is not on your list is refused, so the redirect cannot be used to send people elsewhere.
Back on the plugin page, the Click report fills in. Choose Last 7 days, Last 30 days or Last 90 days to see totals, top links, top posts, clicks by domain and clicks per day.
Choose Export CSV to download every click in the selected range for a spreadsheet.
Settings you configure
- Tracked Domains
- One domain per line, or comma-separated. Subdomains are matched automatically, so amazon.com also covers www.amazon.com. A short-link domain needs its own line. Save Settings stores the list.
- Date range
- Choose Last 7 days, Last 30 days or Last 90 days. The report opens on Last 30 days. Each range is a rolling period that ends now.
- Export CSV
- Downloads the clicks in the selected range as a spreadsheet file with the columns clicked_at, link_url, domain, post_id and post_title.
What it can access
The plugin reads the blog post being displayed so it can rewrite tracked links, and it saves one entry per click: the link address, the post it came from and the page the reader arrived from, when their browser sends it. The click entry does not hold an IP address or browser details. It makes no calls to affiliate networks and reads no order, member or payment data. Only owners, administrators and editors can download the CSV.

Honest limits
It counts clicks, not money. No sales, orders or commissions are recorded or shown, and a click cannot be matched to a purchase. Those figures stay in your affiliate network's own dashboard.
Clicks are not unique visitors. One reader counts again on each click, up to 10 recorded clicks per link from one network address in five minutes. Bots and link previews that follow a link are not filtered out, because no browser details are saved.
There is no click-through rate, because the plugin does not record how many times a link was shown.
Only links inside blog posts are tracked, and only those pointing at a domain on your list or one of its subdomains. Links in pages, menus and footers are left as they are.
When a range holds more than 20,000 clicks, the tables and the chart are built from the most recent 20,000 and a note says so, while the totals stay exact. The CSV stops at 100,000 rows.
The chart's days follow UTC, and the date ranges are rolling periods rather than calendar months.
Where a theme shows plugin content below a post, a short disclosure line about affiliate links appears in fixed English on every post while the plugin is on, even on a post with no tracked link.
Frequently asked questions
Does it show how much money my affiliate links earned?
No. It records clicks only. Sales and commissions happen on the merchant's side after the reader leaves your site, so they appear in your affiliate network's dashboard, not in the Click report.
Which links get tracked?
Links in your blog posts that point to a domain on your Tracked Domains list, or to a subdomain of it. Listing amazon.com covers www.amazon.com, but a short-link domain such as amzn.to must be added on its own line.
Are the clicks unique visitors?
No. The plugin saves no IP address or browser details with a click, so it cannot tell visitors apart or filter out bots. A single address is counted at most 10 times per link in any five minutes.
Can I get the raw clicks into a spreadsheet?
Yes. Export CSV downloads the selected range with the columns clicked_at, link_url, domain, post_id and post_title, up to 100,000 rows. A deleted post leaves its title blank.
What happens to my report if I switch the plugin off?
New clicks stop being recorded and the report shows a notice saying so. Clicks recorded earlier stay visible in the report below that notice.
